Clara and Esme are nice. Lorelei seems a bit fussy and Pandora makes me think of pandas, Adrian Mole, people saying "frightfully horrid", bracelets and "Pandora's Box". I don't think I'd appreciate the latter in particular as a teenage Pandora.

Not wild about Pandora but the other three are lovely, particularly Clara. Given that you're also considering Tamara I wonder is it Clara you're leaning towards yourself? They kind of rhyme.

You may need to meet your baby first. We had a couple of names picked out for our first and then when we first saw him it was just obvious iykwim. Our second was named by our first at the bump stage when he overhead us trying out the name!

I like all of them except Lorelei. I worked with a woman called Lorrelly (assume same name but different spelling??) who smoked like a chimney and stank of fags, so that name just makes me think of her. She was a nice lady actually, but the fag stink was pretty grim.

I really like Pandora. Lisa on Real Housewives of Beverley Hills has a daughter called Pandora and they call her Pandy, which is pretty. Sorry, I may have put you off by telling you that about Real Housewives...

My DMum had an aunt called Clara who was, by all accounts, an enormously kind, generous, fun and wonderful woman who wasn't able to have any children so loved welcoming her many nieces and nephews into her tiny house. My DMum loved her best of all her family. To me 'Clara' must always be preceded by 'Me Aunty..'.

Clara and Esme seem quite popular, but that's just a measure of what nice names they are.

I love Lorellei and wanted it for DD, but DH couldn't be persuaded. The Lorellei of mythology were horrible though!

I agree that Pandora could be s little pretentious.
