I like this but would people think it's Melody? Are there any other spelling for this name? Elidie perhaps??

I love it, very pretty.
Keep the spelling!
Maybe consider Eloise as well?

ClemFandagoDoesTheTango · 14/01/2016 15:30

I love it. It's very pretty.

Although I always pronounce it with a french accent in my head (not out loud though Smile)

TempsPerdu · 14/01/2016 19:28

Very pretty - really like it. Potential downsides could be that it's getting more common (following in Amelie's footsteps I think) and the obvious shortening is the very popular Ellie. Still lovely though!

littlem133 · 14/01/2016 22:32

Beautiful

purplemeggie · 14/01/2016 23:04

We have a friend with an Elodie - she's lovely and I think it's a very pretty name.

Burgatroyd · 15/01/2016 06:04

Pretty?

How about Alanna or Eleni?

maggiethemagpie · 15/01/2016 11:04

I know an Elodie. It does sound like Melody at first but you soon get over that. Lovely name.

CruCru · 16/01/2016 09:12

It's very nice.

DulcetMoans · 16/01/2016 09:45

I love it!

Nospringflower · 16/01/2016 10:40

I'm not keen but just in that way of some names you like, some you don't. Don't think there's anything wrong with it.

brookeberry · 16/01/2016 13:01

Elodie is a beautiful name - I'd steal it but I'm having a boy!Grin

toffeeboffin · 18/01/2016 13:00

Niece is French and called Elodie. Nice name, still quite rare.

Ell-o-dee. Shortened to Ello. Sounds good with a French accent!

MissAlabamaWhitman · 18/01/2016 21:48

I think its unimaginative and will date.
How about Sylvie?
Much prettier/classier. Less pseudo Gallic

Diggum · 18/01/2016 21:51

Gorgeous. I've always loved this name and I know a French 30-something Elodie who is fabulous and timelessly elegant.

Don't change the spelling.

Lonelynessie · 19/01/2016 22:27

Love it, one of my favourites.

eurochick · 19/01/2016 22:28

Love it. It was one of our shortlist of three for a girl.

Blu · 19/01/2016 23:03

It's a lovely name.

ClaudiaWankleman · 19/01/2016 23:23

Dowdy.

It's lovely

KaraokeQueenOfTheNorth · 19/01/2016 23:39

I love Elodie. I don't know any.

MizK · 19/01/2016 23:40

Very pretty name indeed.

chrome100 · 20/01/2016 09:08

It's nice but a bit middle aged.

LemonBreeland · 20/01/2016 09:15

I like it, I think it's a pretty name. Definitely the original spelling though.
