One Dd already called Florence

I love it but was vetoed by DP as reminded him of a cat.

Florence is lovely too and can be shortened to Flo, Floss, Florry.

MagicFinger · 11/01/2016 21:48

Oh sorry just re read OP Blush

IoraRua · 11/01/2016 22:03

Hate it.
Imogen would go with Florence, I think.

thecraftyfox · 12/01/2016 05:12

I love it. And it is a pretty classic name, it's Biblical!

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 12/01/2016 05:20

I like it. It was nearly what I was called, but my parents loved the name they gave me a little more (as do I). Having said that, I could easily see the name suiting me as an adult, so if you love it, go for it Smile

timelytess · 12/01/2016 05:33

Love it. Its the name of one of my rabbits. But don't let that put you off.

maybebabybee · 12/01/2016 06:19

A cat's name for me. And too old lady.

Flossiesmummy · 12/01/2016 07:27

Thanks everyone!

Strongly dislike. If I were to go by MN, I would think it's one of the top 20 names it appears on here so often! In reality I've never come across one and I'm in London. I can never understand why it gets so much love on here...

MrsCaecilius · 12/01/2016 09:23

I love it. Has Bewitched connotations for me too - my favourite programme as a child!

GilbertBlytheWouldGetIt · 12/01/2016 09:29

It's great. Was a strong contender for DC2 (if he had been a girl).

CakeRattleandRoll · 12/01/2016 16:27

Love it. And love nn Tabby. Really wanted it for DD, but vetoed by DH because he thought it sounded "too posh" Hmm.

Luckygirlcharlie · 12/01/2016 16:58

Nah. You can have Tatiana though. I was saving it but dc2 is a boy and I wouldn't do that to him Grin

DramaAlpaca · 12/01/2016 17:32

I love it for a cat & I had a much loved one with the name. I really dislike it for a human (sorry) probably due to the cat association. I've never actually met a Tabitha. Maybe if I had I'd feel differently about it.

It does kind of go with Florence, but Florence is so much nicer.

Fairiesarereal · 12/01/2016 20:28

Love it, love it, love it Grin

SleepyRoo · 12/01/2016 20:42

I know one baby and another 3 yr old with the name. It's getting trendy - in case you care about that, or not.

SleepyRoo · 12/01/2016 20:43

Both in SE Londin FWIW

DimpleHands · 14/01/2016 12:30

Love it.

ifgrandmahadawilly · 14/01/2016 12:47

I love it. It was on my list of names for dd but I couldn't convince by partner.

I think the baby daughter from Bewitched was a Tabitha wasn't she?

QueenofallIsee · 14/01/2016 12:51

I love it but DP vetoed when we were expecting - he said 'cats name'.

iamnotaponceyloudperson · 14/01/2016 12:56

Love it too.

Sophronia · 14/01/2016 14:19

Like it a lot.

Noodle1234 · 14/01/2016 15:15

I really like it and think it works well with Florence. It's becoming trendy but in a good way, not at risk of being overused. I hope you go for it.

TheWiseOldElf · 14/01/2016 15:27

I love it. It's the name of the narrator's mum in 'A Prayer for Owen Meany' which is one of my favourite books.

ninekidz54 · 14/01/2016 18:31

It's my cats name so not working for me, but it's your baby why worry about what others think?
