Would love for my DD to have a French sounding name, even though I'm not French. What do you think of theses names?

I think Marina is beautiful Smile

I think Marina - it's a fantastic name.

originalmavis · 24/12/2015 18:52

Marnie?

YouStillLookLikeAMovie · 24/12/2015 18:55

I know a teenage Oceane. I think it's rather cool.

Marina is lovely but Greek if that matters.

If it has to be French how about Marion?

Sophronia · 24/12/2015 20:05

Marina is lovely

remembermewhen · 24/12/2015 20:15

I've always said if I have another girl (never going to happen meh) I would call her Marina. I just love it !
I've only ever met one Marina in real life & she was a lovely lady.

Llouh · 24/12/2015 20:17

They both sound very watery. I like Marina.

annandale · 24/12/2015 20:19

I don't personally think Marina sounds that French but it does sound beautiful. Prefer it to Marine but that's because of the topical connection.

YeOldeTrout · 24/12/2015 21:22

I don't like Marina, it smells like diesel & fish because it's where the boats are kept. And it rhymes with Purina.

Maria, Mariana? Marion? Marianne?

DandyDan · 25/12/2015 18:12

Marena

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 25/12/2015 18:29

I like Marine better than Marina as a name but now it's tainted for me by Marine Le Pen.
