Adrian - thoughts?

This is not really a contender I don't think but DH mentioned it when we were initially talking about names and for some reason I can't get it out of my head. Initially I hated it - reminds me Adrian Mole, but I'm wondering if it is a good, solid name for a boy and a man?

Surname is very, very common so we are looking for something not over used, but not made up. We live in the Central Belt in Scotland and quite like surnamey, Scottish, or historical saints type names.

Is it awful? Are my hormones frying my brain? Blush

You can get away with just about anything as a middle name. Kentigern would be absolutely fine there.

Adrian. Perfect. Kentigern - well, ok then.

Sorry, I don't really like it, but that's probably because it sounds dated as others have said.

Aidan is lovely though!

If I'm 100% honest my first though was Rocky and him yelling "Adriaaan!" Sorry Grin
