I knew a Clink. His parents were Clint Eastwood fans but had misheard the name, apparently.

I had a tradesman come to the house (something for the phone I think), called Anal. Yes, really. He was Asian and it was pronounced Ann-al, but still that is a very unfortunate name to have in any English-speaking country! I'm guessing that wherever his family came from it was completely innocuous. As for 'Orgasm' Shock

Sarah Palin's family have odd names for the kids and grandkids. They have a Trig, a Track and a Tripp!

Roomba · 20/12/2015 20:14

There was a child whose birthday card was on CBeebies this morning, named Tiara.

I think 'Orgasm' beats them all though!

Lizzie isn't the Guy one an urban legend? Either that or there's a lot of daft people around, I've heard that a few times...

Kindle, tho. Goodness me, poor kids!

I thought 'Gooey' was the french pronounciation for Guy. 'Chaos' would have been very appropriate for DS!

Qwebec · 24/12/2015 02:37

In french Guy is pronounced Gee (G like gum and e like pee)

I also heard of american kids that get insult names by abusive parents. At least in anglophone countries it seems v easy to change your name.
