Issie

What are your thoughts on this as a stand alone name?

Like Isabella but popularity puts me off and I don't LOVE it whereas Issie is a name that I've always imagined calling my daughter.

Is it too close to ISIS???

I think it's very pretty but that it should be short for something.

If not Isabel or Isabella then one of the many other suggestions above.

My picks would probably be Melissa, Clarissa or Nerissa. Maybe Isadora or Marissa.

I think Julissa and Carissa are names if you want more ideas.

To me Issie is only ever short for something. I don't think it is too close to Isis - would see it always as short for Isabel.

Not as a stand alone, it's insipid and dull. As a shortening for something cool it would be fine.
