I need some help for my little girl!

I'm 34+3 and my husband and I don't really talk about names very much! We spoke a little in the beginning and our favourite first and middle name combo is Beatrice Rebecca. (Rebecca is his sister and we both love the name!) the challenge I have is that my family have always had 3 Christian names and I really feel strongly about carrying on the tradition. But what else goes?? I liked Beatrice Rebecca Jane but he thinks Jane is boring (sorry Janes of MN). So I thought maybe Joan after my late grandma. What are your suggestions for a single syllable name to go? Or longer names if they work!! TIA...

My children all have three names , for example ds1 has first name which was our favourite , second name is a family name from his side and third is my fathers , ds2 has my FIL name as second name and a name whxih was on both sides of the family and ds3 has dh's name as second and my great grandfathers name as third ( it's also one of my fathers ) .

If you are using your SiL name could you use a name from your family

Joan is fine. And a family name.

Or Joanne/Joanna if you think Joan is dated?

HumphreyCobblers · 11/12/2015 15:23

I love Joan.

My children have three names, no one really knows the third one. So please yourself and don't worry about it 'going'.

I was going to suggest Anne as I love it as a middle name, but the initials might be unfortunate....

I like Jane as a middle name too- I think it's classic rather than boring!!

Eve?

My kids have

then surname

Oysterbabe · 12/12/2015 22:33

Joy.

candykane25 · 12/12/2015 23:08

It can be anything you like. A favourite word, a Colour, a tree, a characteristic. Joan is nice though.
Juniper?

MitzyLeFrouf · 13/12/2015 04:23

Just go with Joan.

It's a third name, doesn't really matter in the grand scheme does it? When I hear my middle name it seems utterly alien to me.

MitzyLeFrouf · 13/12/2015 04:26

Plus these days, I think Jane is a lot less boring that the two other names you've chosen!

Nothing wrong with Rebecca or Beatrice but they're a lot more common than lovely Jane.

mrsjskelton · 16/12/2015 21:04

Thanks for the suggestions! I do like Eve Smile
I just want to be armed for the discussion! Thank you ladies!

Could you use your own name or one of your middle names?

I agree that Jane or Joan would be perfect too.

myotherusernameisbetter · 16/12/2015 21:32

I presume the baby is due in January? if so, the Jan, Jane or Joan probably fit very auspiciously....

torthecatlady · 17/12/2015 02:16

Joan is lovely - my late grandmothers name.
I also love Beatrice / Beatrix / Rebecca x

NadiaWadia · 17/12/2015 03:15

I do think Jane is classier than Joan. Just my opinion.

BikeRunSki · 17/12/2015 04:05

Use Joan.

Me, my siblings and my DC all have 3 "first" names. I think if you're going to do this, then the third name needs to be meaningful.
