I know 2 - a toddler and an 11 year old. I think it's a nice name.

Why don't you check out the ONS lists of all names? You can see the name's popularity year by year. Sorry, don't have the link to hand.

I know a few between 5 and 7 years old, but I wouldn't say it's an overly popular name...ones nn. is Gabby and the 2 Gabe and the other one is just Gabriel..

Nice name😊

I don't know any and never even heard of any whilst at school myself or at my children's school.

I have a Gabriel. Both of my DSs have angel names - completely unintentionally, I might add, they just sounded good together.

I love it. It's timeless, and suits young and old alike. It's a name that grows with the child.

I know one 6yo Gabriel.

And I often think that the last child waiting to come to me is a baby boy named Gabriel.

My 18 year old is called Gabriel, I don't know any others, he tends to get called Gabi for short, I still love it, but I remember feeling like it was a very big name for such a tiny baby and it took me ages to call him by his actual name.

None personally, though there is a 3 yo Gabriel at dd's nursery (and he has the same surname as a very famous actor called Gabriel). It was on my shortlist for boys names had DS been a boy.

I have one sitting on my sofa, who is 8 (DSS). I also had a liaison with a Gabriel just before I met DH, who would now be 31.

I think it's quite a classic name.

Known three boys named Gabriel. I really like it and it's quite underused. Surely the more coomon nickname would be Gabe?

That's 3 Gabriels through my lifetime of 40 odd years.

One 6 year old at my school, we call him Gabe. I think Gabriel is a lovely name

I'm a primary teacher and I only know 1. I don't think think it's overly popular at the moment.

Gorgeous name with nn Gabe. I have taught two in 17 years. Would be my choice of name if I wasn't too old and single

I really don't think it is popular enough to be put off. I've been a teacher for 7 years and only met one Gabriel. There are none in my present school, which is in an affluent area.
Gabe makes me think of a dashing gentleman, nice name.

I know 3 - all just turned or just about to turn 4 years old. Lovely name. One has the nn Gabri (Italian parents), the other two are just Gabriel.

And I know a number of Gabrielle's and Gabriella's around the same age but no female Gabriel's. Didn't realise it could be a female name actually.

I know one (nn Gabe). I actually really dislike it as a name.

I work with one, nicknames are G, Gabe or BL ...which irrationally annoys me cos it should be Brie-L surely?? :o

I really wanted to use it for ds1 but dh was having none of it. ..the swine....I could have been a trendsetter. 3)
