William and Euan - last post, I promise!

I've posted about this before, but am 33 weeks and having a wobble! Do William and Euan work as brothers? I like both names imdividually but worried that they don't go! DH reminded me that actually, it's only a short period of their life where they will be known as "William and Euan / Will and Euan" but I still want to get it right.
We don't have many other names on our boys list, Hugo and Rowan being the main ones, but we don't like either as much as Euan. (We also had a little boy called Alexander, who we lost at 21 weeks).
Also, I prefer Euan, DH prefers Ewan. He's said I can decide. Am I right, or is he?

Firstly. I am so heartily sorry for the loss of Alexander.
How will it only be a short period of their life that they'll be known as William and Euan. Do you not shorten William yet but are planning to later on. But confusing for him, if so. But if ive got the wrong end of the stick I apologise.
In answer to your question. I think they're great names and work very well together.
About the spelling. I don't think there's any right or wrong. So if he's happy to let you decide the spelling then Euan is fine

I think they go well and I would spell it Euan :) but spell check says that's incorrectly spelt and Ewan isn't, so I think either is fine!

I prefer Ewan spelling but only because I think it's generally more well known due to the actor Ewan McGregor! I'm not keen on Euan spelling because of 3 vowels in a row and it looks wrong to me(only because Ive not come across a Euan spelt this way). I think the names go fine as sibset. I love both names so much so that we have used one of them on our ds. One observation I've made is that when talking to my older dd, I will often say "you and Ewan" which i find is a bit of a mouthful!

I think they're fine together, and I prefer the Euan spelling.

Still love the name though. Also love Rowan from your list, I prefer Rohan spelling though.

Thank you. Iliveinalighthouse, he means in the sense that when they grow up and leave home, they won't be known as "William and Euan", but independently, if that makes sense? Although being as DH, his brother and his dad were all know by a nickname that comes from their surname at school, there's a good chance our two boys will as well, whatever we call them! Thanks, it's good to know that people think they sound ok together. I've just got to decide on spelling I think. I prefer Euan, I think it looks softer, somehow, but am worried that most people will be more familiar with the Ewan spelling, because of Ewan McGregor. Hmm.

Euan is very common in Scotland and I love it.
