Favourite name is also an estate agency's name!

I really love the name Alexander James and it goes well with our surname.

But here's the kicker [grins] it's also the name of a very popular estate agency in our town, presumably the owners name.

Should we go for it and endure the obvious connection people will make?

I think unless James is the surname it won't matter, middle names are rarely used and most people he meets won't know what it is. Go for it!

I agree with Suz.Providing James is your last name or you're not going to hyphenate it, and lets be honest when you introduce your self. You just say. Hi I'm insert first here. We don't start giving the ins and outs of a ducks arse, do we.

Not your last name

I know an Alexander James Surname. I'm familiar with the estate agency but the connection has never occurred to me until now. I think it's fine.

It's fine. The names are too 'not unusual' for anyone to make the connection, providing James isn't the last name.
