The first thing that popped into my head was Violent Bee...

Sorry.

LettuceLaughton · 11/11/2015 21:43

I think of these.

It's sweet, very sweet indeed. Rather too cutesy for my taste though. But, middle names are hardly ever used so there's little harm in it.

GoEasyJulia · 11/11/2015 21:43

I'd go for Bea as the middle name. Or even better Beatrice.

Violet Bee may be misread as Violent Bee.

IoraRua · 11/11/2015 21:44

Sounds a bit like a paint colour. Not liking it.
I like Violet, Bee however I just can't warm to.

annandale · 11/11/2015 21:46

If I'm completely honest, I think it sounds absolutely adorable for a baby, less so for an adult.

JanuaryJuniper · 11/11/2015 21:47

I really love it, it's a great pairing!

HackerFucker22 · 11/11/2015 22:07

Hmmmm, I just don't warm to it.

Love Violet.... just not sure of Bee? It's just a bit 'nothingy'

celtictoast · 11/11/2015 22:28

I like it.

shutupanddance · 11/11/2015 22:30

Ahh its sweet but maybe a bit too cutsey? Violet is beautiful

sky1010 · 11/11/2015 22:31

Sounds like a gift set of miniature artisan organic honey that you'd buy off Etsy.

Way too twee.

Violet Beatrice is nice.

manicinsomniac · 11/11/2015 22:34

It's cute, I like it. But I'd spell it Bea.

Sunshine511 · 11/11/2015 22:55

To be completely honest, I'm not a fan at all. Although I agree bea would be better but I still don't like it personally. Love the name violet, not a fan of bee at all. It's what you like that counts though, everyone has different taste Smile

Sophronia · 11/11/2015 22:58

I'd spell it Bea, or go with Violet Beatrix or Violet Beatrice

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 11/11/2015 23:25

Was just about to say the same thing, Chipped.

FedUpWithJudgementalPeople · 12/11/2015 06:37

Super cute! I would spell it Bea though. Or got for Violet Beatrice/Beatrix

AuntieStella · 12/11/2015 06:43

Colour with noun, often not a great idea.

Of course it will work when she's 20.

It's absolutely fine, it's only a middle name!

YouBastardSockBalls · 12/11/2015 11:17

Violet Bee - Violently.

Love Violet. Not sure about Bee.

MrsCaecilius · 12/11/2015 12:26

Bea, not Bee. Beatrice or Beatrix even better. 'Bee' on its own is too twee for me.

FlapSnaps · 12/11/2015 12:29

What about Violet Cranefly or Violet Drosophila? Grin

I think violet is nice, not my top choice but that's what makes like interesting. To be a Bee is an insect, a lovely and important insect but still... As others have said maybe Beatrice? Or something else beginning with B so you can still nickname her Violet B if you want?

FattyNinjaOwl · 12/11/2015 12:39

My DD has the nn bumble bee. Because her name begins with a B. I wouldn't use bee as an actual name though. As others have said maybe Beatrice/Beatrix

MitzyLeFrouf · 12/11/2015 12:47

I think you can go as daft as you like with a middle name.

celtictoast · 12/11/2015 12:49

Violet Bethany?

ThursdayLastWeek · 12/11/2015 12:52

Bee? As in a bee?

I don't like it, sorry, nor particularly keen on Violet but at least that's a name.
