Live in north west, these are short list for my neighbour. (We just had dd3 so no help!) Wonder if regionally not that common?

Noah is very popular here (south east) two in every class at school practically. Not heard any of the others irl but they are often on "hot in 2016" type lists.

BreeVDKamp · 06/11/2015 17:18

Noah and Arlo v popular SE London

fitzbilly · 06/11/2015 17:21

I've been teaching reception for ten years and have only taught one Noah and one Arlo. No Benedict in any school I've worked in. In my current school there are no children with any of these names.

JasperDamerel · 06/11/2015 17:26

I'm in Yorkshire. I know lots of Noahs (it's a one in each class sort of name), at least two Benedicts (around six Bens in total, but I'm not sure of the Benedict/Benjamin ratio) and only one Arlo.

NetballHoop · 06/11/2015 17:28

In South East, I know two Benedicts (both of whom are lovely) and one Noah (who's a little shit challenging).

I've never met an Arlo.

RingDownRingUp · 06/11/2015 17:30

Noah yes
Others not

megletthesecond · 06/11/2015 17:30

South. I know 3 Noahs.

Wotsitsareafterme · 06/11/2015 17:31

I know 2 arlos

BunnyLebowksi · 06/11/2015 17:31

West Yorkshire. You can't swing a cat without hitting 5 Noah's here.

Have never met an Arlo (loads of Milos though) or a Benedict.

ThePug · 06/11/2015 18:45

I look at the britishbabynames.com blog for name ideas (they list birth announcements from the papers) and there were two Arlos last week, so it's definitely getting popular. I think Noah is still popular and Benedict much less so

celtictoast · 06/11/2015 19:12

Arlo has been trendy for a while, Noah is also more recently fashionable.

Benedict is a classic and underused.

5BlueHydrangea · 06/11/2015 19:19

Lots of Noah. Occasional Benedict - although Benedict Cumberbatch is so popular it's likely lots more will be popping up soon. Never met an Arlo.

WinterBabyof89 · 06/11/2015 19:26

I'm in the North West - know a few Noah's.
Love the name Arlo.

Namechangenetty · 06/11/2015 21:12

I'm surprised Noah's as popular as that but guess that's based on none in dds classes. I love arlo and Benedict too!

babarthefuckingelephant · 06/11/2015 21:16

In one of Dss little groups there are only about 9 kids and 4 of them are Noahs

WooLulu · 06/11/2015 21:45

Noah is like no3 on the popular list for this year. I know one Arlo and two Benedicts (I live in Brighton)

hawkmcqueen · 07/11/2015 15:40

There are soooo many Noah's here! And I think it's had it's day already. There are no Arlos or Benedicts.

Laliberty · 07/11/2015 16:41

The full spreadsheet for baby name popularity can be downloaded from the national office for statistics website but I know that Noah is really popular (currently just outside the top 10 and has been popular for a few years). In my experience any Noah at nursery/school is going to be called "Noah Surname" due to the number of Noahs!

Arlo is much less popular and Benedict even less popular than Arlo (which is a good thing in my book as it makes them less prolific!).

You want table 6 of the spreadsheet here for the full list www.ons.gov.uk/ons/publications/re-reference-tables.html?edition=tcm%3A77-370365

ProncessP · 07/11/2015 20:16

Noah is uber popular..

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant · 07/11/2015 21:41

Also north west

Never met an arlo.

Know 4 or 5 Noahs.
From swimming, school and nursery.

Never met a benedict. But we know 27,496 bens. At least. I assume none is benedict. Some are Ben, some Benjamin.

Visit family and friends in other places. Still never met an arlo.

TeamSteady · 08/11/2015 15:26

Ds2 is a Noah. Gutted it became so popular... it was number 78 when we chose it. Luckily no Noah's in his year, but seen a few much younger toddler siblings called Noah.

MrsCaecilius · 09/11/2015 13:15

London/Oxford here.

Noahs are ten-a-penny, too popular and on trend imho.

Arlo - love it! Never met one.

Benedict - classic and underused. I know a couple of v differing ages. Think its lovely, much better than Benjamin.

Utterlyclueless · 09/11/2015 13:28

Arlo and Noah are very very popular at the minute where I live (Liverpool)

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 09/11/2015 13:32

Loads of Noah's where I am (East Midlands). I know one Arlo, no Benedicts.
