Emilia or Emelia :S spelling help

DD due next week...

Emilia Fox and Emilia Clarke are one spelling but google throws up a few other personalities for the Eme spelling? Would it look "wrong" or that I was going for an alternative spelling to the norm? (I'm not)

Emelia isn't a traditional spelling. Autocorrect doesn't recognise it.

It looks like a typo. Your DD will go through life anyway saying no, it's Emilia, not Amelia - don't add what looks like a spelling mistake into the mix!

I know two Emilias (spelt like that), one is Emi for short and the other is Milly.

We also have a friend who is an Emalia. She is Hawaiian and apparently Malia is a popular name there? Just to confuse you further....

Yes the Emmie spelling is a predicament but thankfully i will have more time to work that one out. I read in The Guardian a few days ago that Emi was going to be very popular in 2016, swaying me from emmie somewhat, although I love mila (pronounced meela) also

It's Emilia or Amelia. And I pronounce them both exactly the same. If I was to see Emelia, I feel I would need to emphasise EM-elia as in Emma..
