40 + 5 and no real mutually agreed name shortlist for boy no2...

DS1 has an unusual 'surname' first name (I know they divide opinion on here!) which I love. His middle name is Sebastian.

(Over)due DS2 any day now and my OH and I cannot whittle down a shortlist that we both like. We both like fairly unusual names still (with a more 'normal' middle name).

OH's shortlist is :

Maverick
Dax
Cody
Jackson
Chael
Xavier
Cormac
Zeke

(For varying reasons - I don't like any of them)

My list is

Rex
Marlowe
Malachi

but similarly, OH has said no to all of them.

Any other ideas? Hoping the baby isn't waiting until we have a name to come out, he might never get here!

I quite like surname first names, but those lists are not even in that category are they? Are you sure you haven't been driven mad by pregnancy hormones?! I don't think Chael, Rex, Bodhi and Dax are even acceptable surnames. I like Jackson a lot. Cody and Zeke are good too. Some suggestions (although quite possibly not what you're looking for);

I love Zeke, the sweetest little boy I know is Zeke so I am biased! I also like Xavier.
I am less keen on your list but it is all personal preference.
What about Max? It is similar to Rex but Your Dh may prefer it.
