How many Samuels / Sams do you know?

Currently my favourite for this baby but it has been in top 20 for many, many years, though I have noticed it has dropped in popularity in recent years and is now down to number 21. Not sure if popularity bothers me yet..

This is my first so am not in the baby / pre school / child circles yet. So, how many do you know?!

I know lots of Sams, both female and male. It is a very popular name, especially for boys under age 10. If popularity bothers you, I suggest you find another name. Have a look on the ONS lists, there are literally thousands of names to choose from!

I've come across quite a lot. It's the most frequent name in DS2's year, and there are two of three in every year group I've come across. That's from mid-teen downwards.

It's a lovely name.

Funnily enough DS was trying to work this out the other day - I think he got to 10 Sams in the end (all aged 11 or under)
