Can I ever use the name Angus now we have an Archer?

Angus was / is my all-time fav boys name. I love the nn Gus too. However when we had our baby boy DH strongly vetoed it and we compromised on Archer, nn Archie. We are due to have a baby girl in a month and she will probably be Margot.
We were recently talking about no3 being an option - and DH seems to have totally relaxed his views on Angus. (annoying!)
But now I'd be worried that, if we have another boy, it's too late to go back to Angus having already used another 'A' name that sounds so similar. What do you think?
I love Angus so much I want to justify it - one of my justifications is that Archie and Angus are both Scottish names (as are my family) and so they work together on that level. Another is that the nicknames Archie, Gus & Margot sound ok together?
But then a different boys name altogether (like Lucas or Oscar) might realistically sounds better with Archer. Thoughts please!

I think Angus sounds absolutely fine with Archie. Apart from the first letter they don't sound the same at all. Go for what you love.

I think they are different enough - the 'a' sound is different in each, and the rest of the name sounds very different as well.

Archie, Gus and Margot make a fabulous sibset. I think Archer and Angus are fine together.

I think they sound great together and Angus is a fabulous name. How annoying that your DH vetoed it and then changed his mind. You better have a boy next haha

Thanks all, that's great to hear! Just goes to show DH's are fickle and rubbish at this naming thing:)

Agree with PPs - they don't sound alike at all. Archie, Angus and Margot - great!
