Perrie

So after posting DHs shortlist yesterday he has now informed me that Perrie is his number one choice for a girl . Tbf I do remember him mentioning it I just forgot about it.

What's he MN verdict ?

I watched Buffy and Friends too . Maybe I was a TV addict!

I know someone called Perrie, she's in her early 20s. I quite like it.

"Peri" is an obscure word for a beautiful fairy, originally from Persian mythology.

(I came across it when performing in an amateur production of "Iolanthe, or the Peer and the Peri" - I was 3rd Chief Fairy, I'll have you know.)

There are names with worse meanings, and at least written down the spelling wouldn't remind people of the drink. Which is largely marketed as "pear cider" these days, anyway.

Folklore? Was peri the queen of the faeries?

Perry I think of as boy spelling, peri for girls.

Peri is pretty as a nickname. It could be short for Pearl or Pernilla.

I don't like it. As a nickname maybe?
