Alternatives to Margaret?

We're expecting a girl some time soon and have decided on a first name already. I'd like her middle name to be linked to my grandmother who was called Margaret. But I'm not overly keen on that actual name. Just wondering if any of you have any suggestions for a Margaret ish name we could use instead?

there are diminutives of Margaret. Peggy, Maggie Mags Meg Gretta

Pearl & Daisy both shortenings for Margaret. Also Margot, Margeaux, Meg or Rita.

Marguerite and Margot are lovely!

Daisy is also a traditional diminutive but I don't think I'd use it as a full name. You might though, it's not unusual to.

It was mentioned earlier, but I think Meg is a gorgeous name but tbh I very rarely use my kids middle names. I can't remember the last time I saw them written down.

wiggles DH was updating the electoral register form as apparently we now have to add 15 and 14 year old DSs - he had to shout and ask me how to spell DS2s middle name - I couldn't remember either so we had to look up his passport :o

Wanker..... (not meaning to cast doubt on your character Smile) I had to stop for 2 mins last week because I couldn't remember if dd2s actual middle name was the pet name or the proper name. She's only 7 - I have no excuse.

We'll be up for "bad mother of the year" awards soon then :) tbf DS2s middle name is Alastair so there are about 3 million different spellings (that's the correct one btw :o )

Lol at all of you forgetting middle names! They are rather redundant aren't they, but I do like them.

Many thanks for all the suggestions! Greta is my favourite so far. And Margot. But will dh agree....?
