I love Sebastian, Connie and zara

lugo40 · 18/08/2015 21:23

my favourites are

Vivienne - really classy and cue, unusual but a good gwon up name. i think its beautiful

albert - on my list too!

mrssmith79 · 18/08/2015 21:28

Love them all bar Joshua (loads of them round these parts) and Digby (the biggest dog in the world).

KenDoddsDadsDog · 18/08/2015 21:28

Camille and Felix

RiverTam · 18/08/2015 21:31

Connie is lovely but I'd go for Constance nn Connie.

Don't like any of your boys' names.

SerenavanderWoodsen · 18/08/2015 21:33

Zara - lovely, pretty, classy name
Philippa (Pippa) - quite nice, prefer the nn
Briony - dislike
Camille - quite nice, I know a French one so think it sounds better en francais
Connie - really dislike, always think it sounds too similar to corny
Tess / Tessa - quite nice, inoffensive
Vivienne - ok but will probably get shortened to Viv, which I hate. Another French one Grin
Harriet - quite nice, inoffensive

Sebastian - like nn Seb, full name is ok
Arthur - it's ok
Felix - awful, a cat
Albert - it's ok
Digby - awful, a dog
Xander (Alexander) - Alexander is great Grin but Xander really grates on me for some reason. A bit try hard? Much prefer Alex nn
Joshua - lovely

HTH

NotAllThoseWhoWanderAreLost · 18/08/2015 21:34

Really like Tess, Sebastian (Seb) and Joshua. I love the name Alexander, it's 99% going to be our boy name, but really don't like Xander. Digby is a dog's name (sorry!). Vivienne is a nice name but if it was shortened to Viv then not so much. Harriet is quite nice too, I like the nn Hattie. How would you pronounce Camille?

SevenSeconds · 18/08/2015 21:41

My favourites are Pippa, Tess, Sebastian and Joshua. Least favourites are Camille and Digby.

Gooseberrycrumble2 · 18/08/2015 21:43

Adore digby sebastian and Tess

Gooseberrycrumble2 · 18/08/2015 21:44

Could have Lex for Alexander

badg3r · 18/08/2015 21:52

like all except Connie and Digby.

BeautifulBatman · 18/08/2015 21:55

Love Camille, it's a beautiful game.

Xander is the one I'd choose from your boys list if I had to. I love the name Digby but only because it was my dogs name. He was the biggest dog in the world. Grin

BeautifulBatman · 18/08/2015 21:56

Game?? Name!

EmpressKnowsWhereHerTowelIs · 18/08/2015 21:57

I like all the girls' names. Agree that Digby is a dog's name though and think Albert's awful tbh.

barbecue · 18/08/2015 21:58

Top three of each...

Zara
Philippa (Pippa)
Harriet

Joshua
Felix
Albert

HelenaJustina · 18/08/2015 22:01

In those orders!

FatSwan · 18/08/2015 22:05

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 18/08/2015 22:15

scarletforya · 18/08/2015 22:19

Girls; I like them all except Connie (prissy) and Harriet (stuffy) Vivienne is beautiful.

Boys; I dislike all of them.

Justforthisfred · 18/08/2015 22:20

Zara - No, one of the Queen's Grandaughters & a clothing company
Philippa (Pippa) - No, pre Will & Kate's wedding yes, but not now.
Briony - No (just don't like it. Sorry all Briony mums)
Camille - No. Have you seen Death in Paradise? If not, why not? It's brilliant. But the name would remind me of the girl in that, every time!
Connie - No. Girl who won the talent thing to play Maria.
Tess / Tessa. No. Just too 'down at heal'
Vivienne No. Relatives with the name. All hate it.
Harriet. .... Best of the bunch :)

Sebastian No.
Arthur Yes if you call him Artie. No if you'll call him Arthur.
Felix No. It's a baby, not a cat.
Albert Yes if you call him Albie. No if you'll call him Albert
Digby. No. Loved Kristian Digby, sad when he died :(
Xander (Alexander) No. Just No.
Joshua No. Dated and over used.

Best you have a girl and call her Harriet ????

Sophronia · 18/08/2015 22:26

I like...

Zara
Camille
Connie - prefer as a nn for Constance
Tess / Tessa
Vivienne - prefer Vivien
Harriet

Arthur
Albert
Alexander

ComingRoundTheMountain · 18/08/2015 22:40

Love these. Watching these for my own baby. Dh has vetoed Vivienne which I love.

ashesandfire · 18/08/2015 23:01

Zara- nice enough
Philippa (Pippa)- I prefer Pippa to Philippa
Briony - I like it, prefer it spelled Bryony
Camille - love it, but think it would never be pronounced quite right in UK
Connie - lovely but a bit nicknamey and I don't really like Constance
Tess / Tessa - OK but too nicknamey for my tastes
Vivienne - everyone seems to love this but I can't warm to it. Can't picture a little baby Vivienne only a middle aged woman
Harriet -meh, taught a vile one this year which probably is colouring my view of it!

My favourites are Bryony and Camille

Sebastian- nice, a bit posh
Arthur- like it. Art or Artie are cool nicknames
Felix- I really like Felix, but everyone always talks about the cat! Have you thought about Felicity for a girl?
Albert- it's ok
Digby - no. Hideous.
Xander (Alexander)- love Alexander but have irrational hatred for Xander. Much prefer Alex as nn.
Joshua- nice, quite popular though

My favourites are Arthur, Alexander and Joshua

Glindathegoodwitch · 19/08/2015 09:16

Zara - nice, I would love it, but v similar to my own name
Philippa (Pippa) - Like Pippa, not fussed on philippa
Briony - Quite nice, haven't heard it in a while
Camille - Nice but when I say it, I feel like I need to say -ia after it as in Camillia
Connie - Like it, on my list, even though DH says no.
Tess / Tessa - Like it, on my list, even though DH says no.
Vivienne - I do like it, even if it does remind me of pretty woman, like the nn Vivi - a similar on my list is Violet.
Harriet - not fussed.

Sebastian - It's ok, like Seb for short.
Arthur - DH loves this, I am not so sure but apparently becoming popular.
Felix - Is a cat for me.
Albert - Can't quite like this, and don't like nn Albie - doesn't sound right
Digby - Is a dog for me.
Xander (Alexander) - I like Xander, Dh won't have it. Don't like Alexander.
Joshua - very popular in the 1990's & 2000's so I know too many of them personally

CakeRattleandRoll · 19/08/2015 16:32

Love Vivienne, was on our list.
Really like Harriet, Tessa and Zara.
Others are OK.

Love Felix, would have been on our list for a boy.
Like Arthur and Albert.
Like Joshua but too popular.
Less keen on Alexander, Sebastian and Digby.
