Primrose Bluebell or Daphne

Which one do you prefer? I like flower names but find some of them a bit too overused now. I realise these names are unusual and won't be to everyone's taste but I really like them.
Primrose would be Prim or Posy day to day, but she always has the option of Rose
Bluebell would be Blue
Daphne would be Daphie or just full name

I don't want to pick a name that is difficult to live with so am interested in if you know any girls/women with these names, and do they like their name?

If we don't go for one of these we will probably go with Matilda or Penelope but I don't like these anywhere near as much.

TIA

If plant names are your thing - Celandine? Pansy? Aspen? Peony?
Mesanbryanthemum? Ragwort? Hairy Mouse Ear ( really!)
Grin ( disclaimer - I have a Rosie)

Rosalie

Clementine

I actually love Peony, but i've heard people say before that it sounds like pee on me and would therefore be cruel.

I do like Iris - forgot it yesterday.

Blossom
Petula
Petunia
Zinnia
Willow
Bryony
Yasmin (Turkish or Arabic form of Jasmine, I think)
Olive
Camellia
Clover
Celandine
Sharon (as in Rose of Sharon)

Daphnedolittle · 16/08/2015 11:14

I like Willow out of that list but I don't like that it doesn't shorten well.

Right I think I'm still sticking with my top 3 despite helpful suggestions, so which ones do people prefer? And is there a reason you wouldnt use them?
Thanks for all the comments so far! Smile

Fleurina
Roseanna
Rosemary
Rosalie
Hyacinth
Poppy

Kangaroosjump · 16/08/2015 11:21

Oops.

Primrose - it just sounds too preppy to me

Daphne - I think Frazier. Has delphine been considered? It's almost daphne

Bluebell - it sounds like a cats name to me, however I adore Blue as a name

MrsBungle · 16/08/2015 11:22

Dahlia?

I love primrose and laurel. I dislike daphne, it seems very clunky to me. I also dislike posy, far too twee.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 16/08/2015 12:39

Nothing preppy about Primrose to me, but then I think of a woman I know who's about 40 and not in the least preppy! Nowadays I suppose people also think of Primrose Everdeen from the Hunger Games. I think it's by far the best of the three.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 16/08/2015 12:40

Oh, what about Primula, or would the cheese spread connection put you off?

Daphnedolittle · 16/08/2015 15:56

Reminds me of the cheese I'm afraid Smile
Secretly happy primrose is winning!

Absolutely love Daphne.

Not keen on Bluebell or Primrose - I don't like the 'Prim' bit of it.

Cloggal · 17/08/2015 10:40

Primrose.

Posy is too twee, think I like Clover best
