Helen. Shortened to Nell.

Don't go unisex- it just means giving a girl a boy's name because nobody ever gives a boy a girl's name.

A few years ago the baby name wizard ran a statistical search to find the most timeless names (ie the ones most immune to fashion but which remained steadily popular across the decades).

I can't remember what the boys name was but for girls it was Antonia.
