I actually love all of the suggested Star names! I like Star.

I knew a girl called Scarlett who who was known as star (probably better than Scar!)

I love it really pretty and a bit hippyish in a good way x

I dont really like the name star but i really love the name Celine which means moon

Two things:

  1. There was a Star at my nursery and she was really mean. I remember it 27odd years on so it must have been bad. Don't know if it was a middle name or first name. She might have a mortgage and responsibilities now but I don't know.
  2. If you do go ahead with Star then whatever you do don't tell your DD about the rat thing. That's properly weird!

I like star, it's cute... but she might be annoyed by it if she doesn't have a Sunday name to use when older. Although Dr. Star Johnston/Flanagan/Peters all sound pretty cool to me!

For what it's worth I like most of the alternative suggestions (Nova, Astrid, Starlet), but I hate Stella.Grin

Like Star. Don't use double R though.

Reignbeau · 06/08/2015 22:16

I don't like Nova, it reminds me of a clapped out old banger of a car.

OP, Its a mistake to ask for opinions on a name you love on here. It gets torn apart. Ive never asked about my kids names, but ive read negative comments. If you like the name, use it. Its lovely

Astrid instead?
Star as a nickname instead ?
