Yasmin maryam or maryam Yasmin?

Which is better Yasmin or maryam (pronounced Miriam)?
Potential daughter will have Arabic roots.

Maryam Yasmine.

I like both the names. Only chose that way because Yasmine makes me think of contraceptives.

I prefer Yasmin Maryam. It also has the advantage that people won't have problems pronouncing/spelling Yasmin, but might with Maryam.

Love both names btw. Miriam was on our shortlist and Yasmin would have been, except had already been used by family.

Maryam first. Lovely name. Yasmin is fairly pretty but is is the name of a very well known brand of contraceptive pill so if you're in the UK, I'd use it as a second name only.

I like Maryam as a name (why not to ma-ree-am pronunciation?). Also Jasmin as a alternative to Yasmin. Anything but Fatima (or risk the nn Farty or Fatty as a relative does!).

If you want it pronounced Miriam you would be better spelling it Miriam. Maryam looks like marry am. My sil is merieme, I like that spelling.
