suggestions instead of Jason...

Hello!

Due in 5 weeks with my second boy. Our first is Blake Peter. Blake just because we liked it, and Peter for my dad who passed when I was 12. This time I'd like to have a middle name for my husband's side. My husband's family names are all awful but his name is Jason. I'd quite like boy 2 to be Logan Jason but my hubby isn't sure about how he feels about our boy having his name (He's quite reserved and I think he worries it will come across arrogant). So I've suggested using Jasper instead (it was a name we liked anyway), a kind of nod to his name. So... any other suggestions for names that fill the same criteria? Drawing a blank!

Jonas uses the same letters and Jackson is quite similar.

I posted on the other one to suggest Jay. Logan Jay would be ace.

I don't really like the sound of it, it's teprating the same sound twice, iyswim. So I eoukd go for a single syllable Middle name - Logan James, for example. Though I have to say I can't bear Logan as a name! Lucas?

TheCraicDealer · 17/07/2015 13:02

I would go for James as well. Same number of letters and it flows better with your elder boy's MN, Peter.

Sadly I had a manager that I didn't get on with called James (I have health issues and unsympathetic is an understatement, actually had to get acas in). Put me right off but I know what you mean.... Gah, it's so hard! I know logan isn't everyone's cup of tea. we actually wrote it off for our first born but it's grown on us and seems to have stuck. still waiting to see Baby though, might not suit him!

Jay is a great alternative. I know 2 Jason's, and they are both known as Jay anyway.

Logan Jason is a bit of a mouthful though.

LionWings · 17/07/2015 13:27

I like Logan!

Just choose something you like or go further back up the family tree. Grandparents are usually good

Sophronia · 17/07/2015 13:28

Logan Jacob or Logan Jack?

barbecue · 17/07/2015 14:35

Mason?

MonstrousRatbag · 17/07/2015 14:51

Jared
Mark
Dominic
Leo

villainousbroodmare · 17/07/2015 16:06

I quite like Logan but I don't think it sounds right with Jason.

ladybird69 · 17/07/2015 16:22

Logan Jase? Jase being short for jason. Could also be spelt Jace. I agree Logan Jason is bit of a mouthful.

BothEndsBurning · 17/07/2015 16:58

Of course it's not "arrogant" to give your child your own name if you like it! This is a peculiar attitude which seems very recent. It's been customary for hundreds of years for names to be passed down in families, and still is in many cultures Nothing arrogant about it at all, nor egotistical as I've also seen it said here.

I like Jasper a lot, prefer it to Logan. Why not Jasper Jason? Grin

Justin

CakeRattleandRoll · 17/07/2015 17:23

John? Jake? Or does your DH have a middle name?

florascotia · 17/07/2015 17:44

Jasper is a fine name. Jasper Logan flows nicely ....

My husband hates his middle name, and all the family names are pretty awful too! Thanks for the suggestions though guys and gals!

I want to know the other family names now Grin

Sometimes surnames can work too. Or what about Joseph? Nice classic name
