Nola - I know an 8 year old and a 4 year old one. I think it's a lovely name.

paxtecum · 16/06/2015 20:34

Lola was a transvestite in a song by the Kinks.

Nola is a lovely name.

lunar1 · 16/06/2015 20:38

Neither!!!

CrispyFern · 16/06/2015 20:39

Nola.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 16/06/2015 20:45

Lola, by a long way.

SurlyCue · 16/06/2015 20:47

I had a cat called Lola. I like it. I have never heard of Nola, it reminds me of Nuala.

TommySlimfigure · 16/06/2015 20:48

Nola.

dyslexicdespot · 16/06/2015 20:56

Nola is an abbreviation of New Orleans Louisiana.

VixxFace · 16/06/2015 21:21

What about Nova?

Sophronia · 16/06/2015 21:29

Nola.

Peanut14 · 16/06/2015 21:33

Nola. It is a shorten version of Finola in Ireland.

justjodie92 · 16/06/2015 21:34

Love Lola

RedToothBrush · 16/06/2015 21:39

Nova is a star or a clapped out car.

DramaAlpaca · 16/06/2015 22:12

Nola

CakeRattleandRoll · 17/06/2015 04:14

Nola

MyFriendsCallMeOh · 17/06/2015 05:06

I know a couple of Lola's who are sweet lovely girls but I dislike the name - it's always the name of a showgirl, a prostitute or a transvestite and I can't see the cute "let's call my baby that" appeal to it.

However Nola is well known in the USA as the abbreviation of New Orleans ...... Not sure I would use it for that reason.

DurhamDurham · 17/06/2015 05:28

If I'm being honest neither, but if I had to choose I would say Lola despite the Barry Mannilow connection. Nola doesn't sound like a name at all.

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 17/06/2015 19:24

I like the name Lola but I have a cat with that name - we chose it as there was a mix up trying to work out what sex she was initially.

Nola is lovely - it's a very cute name.

JimmyCorkhill · 17/06/2015 19:31

Dolores!

It's the full name to go with Lola. Then when people say you have named your child a cutesy nickname you can say "well, obviously her real name is Dolores "

PallasCat · 17/06/2015 21:00

100% Nola

SylvaniansAtEase · 19/06/2015 17:31

God Nola is horrible!!

No-la - just so ugly and negative sounding.

Lola is a bit more musical, it's ok, not my favourite.
