DP and me stumbled across this name last night and really love it for a boy. Very early stages of pregnancy with DC2 so don't know what we're having yet.

What do you think of the name?

I know a lovely man called Harris, he's an artist. He's forthright, responsible and rather good fun.

Ditch the indecisive DP and keep the name. Wink

My first thought would never be of it as a surname as most posters seem to be saying - no more than I would think of Lewis as a surname although it also is. To me it's firstly the island and secondly a given name rather than a surname.

Others in the same vein:

Innes
Brodie
Findlay
Gregor/Greig
Keir
Kerr
Cameron
Lorne
Logan
Struan
Craig

Like Harris and think of Scottish island. Never heard of it being associated with star. Would ignore that Grin.

Wizard-3 men in a boat is a fab book, really funny and Harris is a great character in it
