I like Sam.

MyPastLife · 09/06/2015 20:14

Rupert

RuddyHellItsSoftCell · 09/06/2015 20:14

Benedict. Could be known day to day as Ben or Ned

HairyMcMary · 09/06/2015 20:15

Not Rupert, for me.

Benedict offers good shortened versions, or not as you prefer
Ditto Fred instead of Freddie - which might sound too childish in adulthood
Sam: nice.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 09/06/2015 20:15

Benedict but also like Rupert. Too many Sams and Freddie's although I do like Fred or Frederick.

Orangeisthenewbanana · 09/06/2015 20:15

Benedict

FaFoutis · 09/06/2015 20:15

Benedict

RuddyHellItsSoftCell · 09/06/2015 20:15

Ha ha, not sure this totally non unanimous thread is going to help you decide Grin

RuddyHellItsSoftCell · 09/06/2015 20:16

X post with all the other Benedicts Blush

Timandtopsy · 09/06/2015 20:19

Rupert- LOVE, on our list .
Benedict- LOVE, also. On our list.

Freddie- strongly dislike, but I don't like anything 'twee'
Sam- uninspiring.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 09/06/2015 20:21

Rupert - Love
Benedict - like a lot
Freddie - dislike but love Frederick and Fred
Sam - ok

CrispyFern · 09/06/2015 20:22

Benedict.

RiverTam · 09/06/2015 20:22

Benedict
Rupert

Freddie's alright. Hate Sam.

PurpleDaisies · 09/06/2015 20:24

Sam. Don't like the others at all. Which is your favourite op? Has your partner got a preference?

fionadal · 09/06/2015 21:02

All nice apart from Rupert!

Sophronia · 09/06/2015 21:34

Rupert

CPtart · 09/06/2015 21:35

Sam - short for Samuel? Rather dull.
Rupert - awful.
Benedict - don't like. I know one and he gets Ben all the time anyway. Benjamin much nicer.
Freddie - yikes no. Short for Frederick? In the same awful vein as Alfie, Archie, Charlie, etc etc.

HainaultViaNewburyPark · 09/06/2015 21:36

I love Rupert and Benedict.

sweetpeame · 09/06/2015 22:34

Like Benedict most from your list, could use Ben as a nn and it's more interesting than Benjamin.

wiltingfast · 09/06/2015 22:39

Sam or Freddie Grin

ChewyGiraffe · 09/06/2015 22:51

I like Rupert best. I know a dog called Freddie, so that puts me off it (not v helpful I know). I don't really like unisex names like Sam (Chris, Alex, that sort of thing). And Benedict would probably be 'Ben', which is OK, but a bit plain I think.

CarriMarie · 09/06/2015 23:24

Samuel or Benedict.

ancientbuchanan · 09/06/2015 23:27

Benedict

BikeRunSki · 09/06/2015 23:28

Sam , Isambard if you want a more inspired long version than Samuel. < stares at DHand his uninspired mind couple with pretty mono-namic family tree>
