Discussing names with Fiance.
Isabelle is my eldest she goes by Izzy and corrects most people that call her anythinf else.
we have Eliza who goes by Eliza.
could we have an Arabella who would go by Bella?

Yes!! They are lovely names that go great together!!
My name has always been Isabelle and Izzy for short - but it's harder when it becomes real life! Such a big decision! Confused xx

Two siblings with 'bella' in their first name would be silly in my opinion, whatever their nick names are. Plenty of other names out there to choose from.

Sophronia · 01/06/2015 21:54

I think that with the 'belle' and 'bella' in the full names they are too close.

I think it would sound ridiculous to have siblings Isabelle and Arabella, no matter what their nn would be

TheNewStatesman · 02/06/2015 01:15

I would go for something else. It just sound too much. And people who are introduced to both at the same time will be constantly mixing up their endings--so you will be getting "Isabella and Arabelle" etc.

abram12 · 02/06/2015 06:37

Too close in my opinion.

CordeliaFrost · 02/06/2015 07:08

Far too similar.

What if Izzy wants to go by Belle in the future? Then you'd have Belle and Bella!
