Kathleen?

I love Kate. My MIL is Kathleen so I thought OH would be really up for this name but he says no he would want Kathleen and I can shorten to Kate if I want but officially Kathleen on birth certificate. But I don't really want my baby being known as Kathleen because some people would still call her that. Does that make sense? What do you all think? I'm not sure if Kathleen is too old fashioned and I think Kate is much prettier x

I love the name Kate but bare in mind some ppl will call her by her first name so if you don't like it don't use it cus it's a family name ppl will just call her by her full name

Said to him tonight that I'm not wanting to keep 'recycling' names and his answer was: but there's only 2 Kathleen's in our family.... I will keep working on it lol x

I find Kathleen refreshing & young. The one I know best is simply Kath.

Kathleen is a slimy name, makes me think of tapioca. Consider Katherine instead?

Yeah, I'm a Catherine. Caff. Cathy. Kate. Katie. On the phone "is that with a K or a C? An e or an A?" Nightmare bloody name, I have no idea why people like it.
