Week to go...still no name!

One week today until my section and we're still really struggling to finalise a name for out little boy.

DH is really fussy and doesn't like anything! He has managed to come up with some names that he doesn't hate, but we just can't decide. Doesn't help that I'm a teacher and everything reminds me of school.

The names he thinks are okay in principle are:
Thomas
Arthur
Isaac
George
Daniel

Any suggestions for a name combination from these, or any other similar suggestions???

I like Daniel and think it's probably the least commonly used name these days from your list?

My favourite from your list would be George though, but we have different tastes!

Daniel George has a nice ring to it :)

I'm 40+4 and we only have a shortlist, going to wait and see what happens when he or she arrives :)

I love George too..but it's my brothers name. I can't decide if it's weird to name him after his uncle not?!

Do you like your brother? If so then it's not weird at all.

My favourite is Arthur.

Arthur George
George Arthur

Have you considered Peter?

BettyCatKitten · 18/05/2015 09:27

I love Arthur
I also like BertieSmile

From your shortlist I like Arthur nn Art (love Art as a nn) and Isaac.

We have 3 weeks to go til DS is due and narrowed it down to two names, think we'll wait and see what he looks like before making the final decision Smile.

I'd go for Daniel. If I'm allowed to suggest one more, how about Conrad? Might not even remind you of school!

steppemum · 18/05/2015 13:26

we have an Isaac.
It is a great name, not many of them around, slightly less traditional than George etc, but not too out there.

I wouldn't choose George now with Prince George around.

Allalonenow · 18/05/2015 13:29

From your list I like Arthur and Daniel best.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 18/05/2015 13:29

I love Daniel from your list.

CityDweller · 18/05/2015 13:39

I think they're all nice/ fine names. Btw you don't have to decide before the baby is born. DD wasn't given a name until she was about 3 days old, and it ended up being one that wasn't on our 'list'.

OpheliaBitz · 18/05/2015 13:49

I love Arthur and George.
Arthur George flows slightly better than George Arthur, but either works.
Thomas will inevitably become Tom/Tommy
Equally, Daniel will be Dan/Danny, so it depends on whether you like the nicknames as well.
Isaac is a bit over-used I reckon, I've known loads in the last few years.

OneMagnumisneverenough · 18/05/2015 18:44

Daniel is the nicest and I'd go with Daniel George

Similar names:

Matthew
Marcus/Mark
Samuel
Joseph/Jonah/Josiah
Elliot
Austin
Miles
James
Lucas/Luke
Andrew

Daniel George

I really love Isaac. How about Isaac Arthur?
