Opinions please. I like it a lot. Dh is swaying towards it. (5 months left and don't know gender. Probably Alexander if a boy).

Emma is Nice.

I'm not struck on the name Gemma, it sounds like a common version of Emma.
Emma is Classy, Gemma not.

I think Emma and Jenna are much nicer names. I think that Gemma sounds harsh somehow, although looks a bit nicer spelt Jemma.

I went to school with loads of Gemmas, and do think it has a very dated, 80s feel to it.

Go with Gemma! It's a nice name and Gem is a lovely nickname.

Sons of Anarchy fan? Gemma was a remarkable character, but not a very nice person.

wowiesis111 · 21/05/2015 11:23

How about Jemma. Using a J instead. Majority of 80s Gemma's were with a G.

2boys2girls · 21/05/2015 22:21

Jenna is lovely ,

I hate it, agree very dated.
I love Emma - though I know a bit of a 'mary poppins' who is an Emma (practically perfect in every way!) and i've always been a bit in awe but thats what i'll always associate the name with. One of my fav names.

Jenna is alright.

I really dislike Gemma... just sounds a bit.... common?!
