I'm really stuck I love Deon but I feel it's too bold!

Deon makes me think of Dionne Warwick. Prefer Levi.

Dion comes from Dionysus, the Greek god of wine.

Neither, but if my arm was twisted, it would have to be Levi. Even if I liked Deon as a name, I'd probably avoid it with that spelling because he'd spend his life being called Dean.

James is a much better name, it transcends class and will never date. Use the " trendy" name as a middle. He'll thank you for it.

I don't see either of those names as 'trendy'. I know 2 Levi's, one in his 20's and one 40 something. Dion's I know are both in their 30's and I know a 40y old Dionne.
