Love them both. Which do you prefer and why?

Many thanks in advance...

Definately tamsin

Lucked · 24/04/2015 20:16

Tessa!

IvoryMadonna · 24/04/2015 20:46

Tamsin, by a mile. Too many canine Tesses!

swancourt · 24/04/2015 20:47

Love Tess. Tessa seems a bit middle-aged. I love love love love Tamsin though. My DH won't have it. GRRR to him :D

SanityClause · 24/04/2015 20:49

Tamsin, because I love Tamsin Greig.

DoctorLawn · 24/04/2015 20:53

Tessa

Bowlersarm · 24/04/2015 20:53

Tessa, by a long way.

Yika · 24/04/2015 20:56

Tamsin has the edge for me. Pretty, bohemian and artsy sounding. But Tessa is nice too.

applecatchers36 · 24/04/2015 21:05

Tessa

littlemoot · 24/04/2015 21:09

Tamsin is lovely and more unusual which I've always found helpful with my name

calilark · 24/04/2015 21:09

Tessa but I am biased Wink

Shockers · 24/04/2015 21:11

Tessa!

Vijac · 24/04/2015 21:12

I like both but I'd use Tessa as a nn for Teresa

DakotaFanny · 24/04/2015 21:13

Tessa. i do not like Tamsin. Love Tessa.

Bowlersarm · 24/04/2015 21:13

Oh yuk I wouldn't. Teresa is horrible.

MakeHayRidesAgain · 24/04/2015 21:14

Funnily enough one of my best friends is a Tamsin with a sister Tessa.... I prefer Tamsin myself.

timelyreminder · 24/04/2015 21:14

Tamsin

scarletforya · 24/04/2015 21:15

Tessa.

Tamsin sounds dated and nothingy.

balletnotlacrosse · 24/04/2015 23:24

They're both lovely, but I think Tamsin has the edge. Surprised a PP thinks Tessa is middle aged. I don't know any middle aged people with this name. It's vintage, if anything.

DramaAlpaca · 24/04/2015 23:26

Tamsin

Galvanized · 24/04/2015 23:28

Tamzin spelt with a z. Never shortened though.

DramaAlpaca · 24/04/2015 23:43

Yes, I agree - I like Tamzin best with a z.

squoosh · 24/04/2015 23:49

Tamsin. Free spirited, barefoot sort.

squoosh · 24/04/2015 23:51

I see Tessa as middle-aged rather than vintage. Tessa Jowell and Tessa Sanderson are the first Tessas that spring to mind.

balletnotlacrosse · 24/04/2015 23:57

Tessa reminds me of old children's books circa 1940s/1950s. I think it's very pretty and classical. Also like Tess.
