A brother for Phoebe...

DH and I are struggling to think of agree on a boy's name for our next baby. We want a male equivalent of Phoebe, really - not too common, but not really unusual or pretentious.

I like the following, but dh is lukewarm:
Noah
Rory
Archie
Louis
Elliot
Oliver

Any other suggestions we might have missed and might like?

Aiden?
From your list I really like Elliot
Noah is very popular at the moment

JustAStormInADCup · 22/04/2015 21:35

I have a Phoebe and a Rory :-)

GentlyGentlyOhDear · 22/04/2015 21:38

I like Elliot too and I also like Arthur, but dh just doesn't seem to like anything.
I also like Luke.
Not sure about Rex - sounds a bit odd with the surname.

I'm finding boys names a lot harder to choose - if it was another girl we would be spoilt for choice!

Thanks for the suggestions.

I like the fact that Rory is cute for a baby/child, but also quite a 'manly' name.

I also love Ted, but that was met with flat refusal, sadly.

We have a Phoebe, if DD2 had been a DS we'd narrowed it down to Evan or Nathaniel. Love Rory, Noah and Elliot from your list.

I know a couple of Phoebes and they have brothers called:
Dylan- (think this works v well)
James

I think Luke, which you suggested above, is a lovely name and goes really well. It's also fairly unusual these days.

What about Benjamin/Benedict? Although it used it be popular, it is much less so now. I've only met 2 under 6 - it's all Noahs, Theos, Tobys and Reubens round here (South East)
Good Luck!

BlueChampagne · 24/04/2015 22:08

I like Rory. Conrad also meets your criteria.

MadameJosephine · 24/04/2015 22:18

Love Elliot, think it goes really well with Phoebe.

Oliver is very popular around here at the moment (north east) Louis and Noah less so but still a few about

How about Gabriel? Gabe as nn?
