Our surname is said like Day-sea. Will people think of Arthur Daley? He was before my time but I've heard people mention him recently leading me to believe it's a no go.

I think I would find a different name. Arfur Daley is very well known spivy type of character in Minder.

SanctimoniousItches · 20/04/2015 18:48

I wouldn't.

As I suspected. Hmm

I'd be surprised if folk under 35 knew who Arthur Daley was, to he honest! When I said Arthur day-see aloud, it made me immediately think 'ups-a-daisy'. If the surname is pronounced with a 'z' sound instead of an 's' sound in the middle, I wouldn't.

:( sorry its a shame as Arthur is a fab name- what about Albert?
I've ruled out Frankie (Francesca) as are surname is very similar to Howard

It's a lovely name!
I'm 25 and I have no idea who Arthur Daley is, I doubt many people of your babys age will know who it is
