Opinions on aurora and Lola?
DH Loves it, I picked our other dd1 and dd2's name so these are the names he's picked!

Middle name would be Jane and last name is one syllable

aurora

It's not that I dislike both names, I'm happy to have either of them. I used my two all time favourite names with my 2 daughters so now just have a handful of names that I like but nothing really jumps out on me.

leoandboosmum I love Lila! But it ryhmes with dd1s name so it's out of the question

But showgirls arent prostitutes or even strippers necessarily, just dancers and what is wrong with transvestite associations? How bigoted can you be?
Lola is a very popular and traditional name in Spain, very popular here recently.
I think both names would go with the other 2.

If you've got an Isla (guessing from your rhyming with Lila comment and your username) then I'd definitely avoid Lola, as they are too similar.

I prefer Aurora, or how about Aurelia, Anna, Anastasia?

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 19/04/2015 11:44

I prefer Lola.

There is nothing wrong with showgirls or transvestites Smile

Aurora is such a mouthful, it's much nicer on paper than it is to say out loud.

Lola is perfectly acceptable these days.

MUCH prefer Aurora to Lola. As a child I read some lovely books by a Norwegian author who's main character was Aurora, I always remember them when I hear the name. It's unusual but not outlandish. Don't like Lola at all.
