Love Tobias nn Toby. Ds2 nearly Tobias but I figure he'd forever be Toby.

Marmaladedandelions · 15/04/2015 22:58

I like both but on the whole I prefer Rory ...

Sophronia · 16/04/2015 10:06

I know a Tobias nn Toby.

I'm not keen on either but Rory is the better of the two IMO.

FunkyPeacock · 16/04/2015 10:07

I much prefer Rory x

CaptainFabulous · 16/04/2015 10:08

Well Toby is a euphemism for willy so depends if that bothers you, or not.

BanKimoon · 16/04/2015 10:17

Rory. I wanted it for DS but we have an 'R' surname. Love it

squoosh · 16/04/2015 10:19

Rory.

Toby is a bit babyish for an adult.

DramaAlpaca · 16/04/2015 10:22

Rory

Hassled I love your picture of Rorys roaming moors & having adventures - must tell DS! Wink

Marmaladedandelions · 16/04/2015 10:28

On what planet is Toby a euphemism for willy Hmm

squoosh · 16/04/2015 10:34

In Scotland.

Bowlersarm · 16/04/2015 10:35

Toby

CaptainFabulous · 16/04/2015 10:36

In Scotland it's very commonly a euphemism for willy.

cowbiscuits · 16/04/2015 11:18

I love both of them, but DH disagrees. They are names for a cute little dog. Along with Molly.

TheNewStatesman · 16/04/2015 12:36

Rory!

pastizzi · 16/04/2015 17:46

Toby

No one under the age of 40 would have a clue what a Toby jug is!

As for the willy thing, unless you're living in Scotland, why should you care. Plus, John is a nn for toilet, and Johnny a nn for a condom. Doubt that ever put anyone off

fionadal · 17/04/2015 20:10

Rory is a gorgeous name.

Toby doesn't quite do it for me. This is a v middle-class comment, but one of my associations with the name is Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night (I did an English degree so hopefully this explains the rather "pseud"ish comment!) and I can't quite shake the association!

RonaldMcDonald · 17/04/2015 20:12

Ruari

singmelullabies · 18/04/2015 20:13

Hmm....fairly even split which is no help whatsoever! Grin Think I'm leaning towards Rory.

I do like that spelling Ronald but as neither DH nor I am Scottish it seems a bit like trying too hard?!

EugenesAxe · 18/04/2015 20:58

Rory.

I knew a Toby who was a cock; I shagged a lovely Rory.

singmelullabies · 19/04/2015 23:37

Decisive then, Eugene Grin
