So far me and my partner have made a list of our possible names for our little girl, we would like other people's opinions.
Here they are:
Telah
Madison/Madyson
Teegan/Teagan
Avery
Ava
Hailey
Carissa/Clarissa
Kaitlynn/Caitlin
Ellissa/Elissa
Kelsie
Freya
Bella
Taia
Liley
Sophie
Catherine
Anabelle
Camila
Katienne
Gabrielle
Briony
Rhiannon
That's about it! They are all very different but we loved each and every one...what's your favourite? And please feel free to add more names, we'd love to hear them. Thanks.

Avery is my favourite, it's my Nanna's name :) think it can sound both girly&glam and strong at the same time.

Really like Gabrielle too!

SisterMoonshine · 28/03/2015 14:13

Nice list.
Myself, I'd rule out Telah (sounds like tell 'er?)
and also: Avery ( makes me think of the lad from Charlotte's Web), Hayley, Kelsie, Briony, Rhiannon.

Ludways · 28/03/2015 14:16

My fave off your list is Gabrielle.

BoatsAgainstTheCurrent · 28/03/2015 14:18

I like Ellissa, Annabelle and Katienne. Smile

Sophronia · 28/03/2015 18:03

I like Catherine the best, also quite like Sophie, Gabrielle, Rhiannon and Elissa.

BreeVDKamp · 28/03/2015 18:07

Ooh Katienne, I didn't notice that! Really like it.

OutragedFromLeeds · 28/03/2015 19:04

My favourites are; Ava, Gabrielle, Caitlin, Annabelle, Bella and Sophie.

I quite like; Madison, Freya, Catherine and Rhiannon.

Not keen on; Teagan, Avery, Clarissa, Elissa, Kelsie, Camilla or Briony.

I don't like Telah, Liley, Taia or Katienne because they sound made-up.

Whatever name you choose, do spell it correctly. Misspelling your child's name is not cool or unique; it's stupid.

ashesandfire · 28/03/2015 19:38

Freya, Sophie or Catherine

RickOShay · 28/03/2015 20:09

Love Katienne.

florascotia · 28/03/2015 20:17

I really, really don't want to sound critical but I do rather share the view of the previous poster that 'normal' spelling is easiest for a child, where possible. So, it's normally:
Madison, Teagan, Hayley, Caitlin (I think the the Irish pronounciation is Kotch-leen or similar), Elissa, Lily, Camilla, Annabel/Annabelle.
I would spell Taia as Tiye (because it's an ancient Egyptian name and usually spelled that way: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiye )

Ava, Sophie, Annabel, Sophie, Clarissa, Catherine, Lily are all lovely names. I prefer Amabel to Annabel, but that's just personal taste.

Telah does sound a bit made up but (as I'm sure you know) it isn't. It comes from the Bible. It means 'moistness, growing greenery'.

VictoriaX9 · 28/03/2015 20:34

Thanks everyone for quick responses! And thank you for sharing your opinions. I've been thinking of the spelling part and I've decided I completely agree with some of the comments. In the future I don't want people to get confused with the spelling on birthday cards, at school, etc.. I appreciate all of your opinions and so far I am in love with Katienne, Ava and Gabrielle. Keep posting. Thanks again xx.

There are sooo many Avas around at the moment, you know. I prefer Eva, really.

Sophie and Catherine are beautiful. Or Annabel.

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 29/03/2015 09:21

Katienne is beautiful but as far as I can see it is recently made up & not an established name (please correct me if I'm wrong) and I personally wouldn't use it for that reason. On the positive side it would be very easy to shorten to Katie - would you be happy if she got called that?

I love the name Ava. My wonderful mum actually changed her name to this about 10 years ago as she hated her given name. It is popular but I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing.

Gabrielle isn't really to my taste - makes me think of Made in Chelsea!

I like Freya, Liley and Gabrielle most.

I also love Anya, Katya, Francesca, Tabitha, Antonia, April, May, Lara.

Namechanged101 · 29/03/2015 17:31

Love Catherine/katherine, Annabel (this way) and Camilla

Namechanged101 · 29/03/2015 17:31

If you like Camilla then you might like Camille too think its beautiful

Iwasbornin1993 · 29/03/2015 17:59

I like Kaitlyn but spelt with only one "N". Ava and Freya are lovely too but are very popular around where I live lately so not sure I'd choose them personally.

CongratulationsGrin

Telah - quite pretty. I've never heard of anyone using it.
Madison/Madyson - like it spelled Madison
Teegan/Teagan - like it spelled Teagan or Tegan
Avery - love it
Ava - love it
Hailey - really like it
Carissa/Clarissa - quite like both
Kaitlynn/Caitlin - not overly keen. would spell Caitlin if using it
Ellissa/Elissa - quite pretty. Would probably spell Alyssa unless you want emphasis on the Elle sound.
Kelsie - not keen. Would spell Kelsey if using it
Freya - not keen
Bella - quite like it
Taia - it's ok
Liley - it's ok but would spell Lily - I think I'd want to pronounce that Ly-lee
Sophie - really like it
Catherine - really like it but not sure about nicknames. Like Katie
Anabelle - love it
Camila - quite like it. Are you in US? In UK it usually has a double l
Katienne - never heard this. Pretty, I like it
Gabrielle - like it but much prefer Gabriella
Briony - really like it. Rarely used nowadays too
Rhiannon - love it

Tough choice as it's a really lovely list but I think I would go for Avery or Rhiannon
