Over the years I've had various 'favourite' baby names but by the time I've had a DC I've had a new favourite.

But now thinking back I'm glad I didn't use some of my old favourites!

Crystal- so 80s, would be so dated now

Bailey and Courtney- I think these would be considered 'c' now.

Dawn- a bit boring.

Cameron- would hate for my DC to have the same names as a Tory pm.

Anastasia- 50 shades has ruined this beautiful name!

My DS (now 7) was going to be Maile (pronounced Miley) if a girl, so pleased we didn't use it due to Miley Cyrus.

As a hippy chick In my early 20's I had chosen the name Zarrazinnia after the Hawkind song/Michael Moorcock character....sadly i miscarried. I often wonder if she'd have changed her name!

I wanted to call dd Nevaeh. It wouldn't have done much for me being a mum at 18!

As a teenager I wanted Niall, Quinn, Hudson or Colton for boys and India, Savannah, Layla and Jaime for girls. I also wanted 23 kids.

Then I decided I didn't want kids at all!

Now I have just one DD. Her name has already been mentioned here and suits her perfectly Smile

I have an Etta. We weren't really bothered about the Spanish terrorism connection, but we did get a raised eyebrow when the waiter in our local tapas place asked her name.
