Girls name may not go with surname

Hi, I really love the name Mali for a girl but our surname ends with a 'y' so we're not sure whether it flows well. Also hubby isn't keen on matchy names and our dd's name also begins with a 'M'. I'd appreciate your thoughts please x

I don't like matchy names either, but if you really love the name I think it's ok. If you have a third you'll have to definitely avoid an 'M' name though .

It's difficult to say with the surname unless you tell us the surname. Some 'y' ending names would be ok, some not. If it ends in 'ly' or 'ley' definitely not. Mali Wiley is ridiculous, but Mali Spacey is ok.

Thanks Outraged, our surname is similar to spacey but ends with 'sey' and has no 'L' so I'm feeling a little better about it. Hubby isn't convinced tho...
