I think it depends not so much on who says it, but who owns the name. I tend to associate names with the people who have them. Lovely people = lovely names!

I don't understand the 'given' that Julia is above ridicule either? Any name can be ridiculed but it says more about the person saying it than who the name belongs to. After all they didn't name themselves.
