Help baby due and need a name

DC2 now overdue and we can't find a name that we are sure about. Have accepted that baby will probably be nameless for a few days but would like some opinions on names we are considering.

We like Magnus but not sure if we could go through with it.
Also thought about Finley or Finn (which we prefer). We've thought about Otis and Theo but gone off these.

For girls we keep coming back to Marnie. Other suggestions Maria and Margot (Dh not keen- thinks it will get shortened to Marge).

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I am not keen on Magnus. Love Otis and Theo. Like Marnie for girl but she will always have to say Marnie with a IE when spelling it :-(. What about Orla. ? My boys are Joseph and Leo. Whatever you choose will be great for your child. Good luck

I have a friend who is nn Marnie, full name Martina. Gives her more options. Finn is an awesome name, not so keen on Finley.

Marnie is my favourite girls name. I think you should use it.

Finn is nice. I think I would have it short for Finley.

All great names. Not keen on marnie Marie or Finn but everything else is great. I also adore Mary, Maude, Maeve, monty. With Magnus you can have super cool nn Gus

Dislike Magnus (it's just ugly, sorry). Finley and Finn are both great. Theo is OK. Otis sounds like a twat (I really don't mean to offend anyone, but if I met a teenage or above Otis then that would be my immediate thought (I appreciate that this is entirely my own prejudice, again, sorry)).

I think all your girls names are great but prefer Marnie as a nn. Maria nn Marine maybe?

Otis sounds great. Marnie could work as a nn for Maria. Adore Mary though

Love Finn (biased opinion ) but really dislike Finley/Finlay.

Thanks for all the suggestions. If we go for Finn it will definitely be Finn not Finley. Think we'll have to see what he or she looks like (if they ever decide to make an appearance!)
