Girls names I might like?

DH and I really like Wren for a girl. But wonder if there are any other better names we may like instead as want to keep an open mind! DH is worried that although we like Wren, it may be a bit too unusual.

We have a three syllable surname that is traditionally English, so we would like a short first name. Anything ending in "ie" or "y" sounds is a no.

Any other names we might like? I like names that have some sort of link with nature, e.g. meaning is flowers, trees etc. Not keen on 'out there' names like River or Rain, or any names beginning with an X, Y or Z.

Thanks for your help!

Erin? Similar sounding.

I love Wren. I sound a bit lispy sometimes, so can't use it.

Erin would be a goer except family dog called Erin, so that could be awkward!!

Merryn, nn merrie, is lovely. It's on my list for our next dd if I can talk DH into a third.

EdYouKateShaun · 28/12/2014 08:57

Robyn is so lovely.

youarekiddingme · 28/12/2014 09:06

Wren is lovely. Lauren would be an option for a longer version if that's what you want to do.

I like Sky or Skye too as nature names.

Robyn, Jay, Blue are all bird type names.

Deerhound · 28/12/2014 09:23

Ooh, hazel is good. Is she likely to have hazel eyes?

WantToGoingTo · 28/12/2014 21:49

Unfortunately not! DH has green eyes and i have blue eyes.
