Louisa
Francesca
Carissa
Juliette

Middle name will be Anne. Any thoughts or suggestions, Mumsnetters?

I like them in the order you have listed them!

I quite like Carissa, but it sounds a bit made up to me and I would think baby might get called Clarissa. Not keen on Juliette.

skyra13 · 25/11/2014 13:10

I think when saying the name with Anne Juliette sounds best, Or Louisa Ann

:)

BlueChampagne · 25/11/2014 13:10

Not so keen on Carissa. How about Marissa? Others are fab.

FrancisdeSales · 25/11/2014 13:14

Francesca by a country mile.

I know a Juliette, pretty name but I just can't get excited about it.
Louisa - OK

I know a "Karissa" and I actually quite like it, but she is very friendly and dynamic so I think that's why.

NancyJones · 25/11/2014 13:18

I like Louisa and Juliette. Not keen on Carissa although I do like Clarissa. Not keen on Francesca either especially with the nn Frankie. Although Frances is quite nice.

Emstheword · 25/11/2014 13:30

Only really love Francesca....others are a little prissy (sorry)

HelloitsmeFell · 25/11/2014 13:32

Do you mean Carissa or Clarissa? I think people will assume it's always Clarissa.

It's a nice list, my favourites are Juliet (spelt the simpler way) and Francesca.

Bowlersarm · 25/11/2014 13:36

I like Juliette and Louisa.

I like Francesca but hate Fran or Frankie.

I don't like Carissa.

FrancisdeSales · 25/11/2014 13:42

Francesca can be Cheska, Chessy, Frankie, Franny etc.

Aelfrida · 25/11/2014 14:14

Carissa is of Greek origin, meaning 'love'. I quite like Clarissa too but not as much. Don't like Marissa but I do like Nerissa. Unfortunately DH has vetoed! Others I like are Rosanna, Rosalie, Cora, Charlotte...

Thanks for your thoughts, everyone!

I think Juliette Anne is lovely. Anne flows better than from the others that already end in 'A'.

My second choice would be Louisa - I like Francesca but hate the inevitable shortening to Fran/Franny. I'm not so sure on Carissa but it's unusual.

manicinsomniac · 25/11/2014 15:28

Love Juliette and Francesca. I also like Carissa but not keen on Louisa.

Like Clarissa and Nerissa. Really like Charlotte. Less keen on Rosanna, Rosalie and Cora.

mummybare · 25/11/2014 15:31

Francesca is lovely. I prefer the spelling Juliet, but either way it is a beautiful name.

Not as sold on the other two.

NancyJones · 25/11/2014 15:53

I like Cora. What about Rosalind? I know 2, both Ros which I like.
I have a Josephine which is similar but may not be to your taste.

loislines · 25/11/2014 16:37

Juliet Anne was our girl's name for DC number 2 (who was a boy!)

DramaAlpaca · 25/11/2014 17:02

I like Louisa best, then Juliette, although I prefer Juliet. Not fond of Francesca. Carissa is OK.

I love Rosanna, but you couldn't really have Rosanna Anne!

squoosh · 25/11/2014 17:23

I like them all apart from Louisa. Louisa is a snooze.

Sophronia · 25/11/2014 17:41

I like Louisa the best by far.

Spanielpuppy · 25/11/2014 19:56

Def Clarissa from your list.

Spanielpuppy · 25/11/2014 19:57

Sorry auto correct. Carissa x

ILiveOnABuildsite · 26/11/2014 08:52

I like Louisa the most from your list. I think it goes well with Anne too. Louisa Anne.

florascotia · 26/11/2014 09:06

Carissa/Karissa/Charissa are versions of the Ancient Greek name Charis = charity, kindness (that kind of love, rather than romantic love).

Carissima = dear/dearest female (Italian)

I prefer Clarissa.

Louisa and Juliet very nice.

EmilyGilmore · 26/11/2014 16:34

Love Juliet, Juliette seems a bit twee.
