Girl baby number 2!

We've just had our 20wk scan and found out we are having a second girl. So the search for a name is on.... Our dd1 is Alice May. I'd love to hear your ideas for her sister.

Our very rough, first pass at a list is: Rose, Orla, Hannah, Rebecca, Harriet, Naomi, Thea, Kate, Imogen, Matilda, Iona. But very open to new ideas or suggestions.

I have a dd Alice May too! She has two younger brothers but had we had another dd we would have chosen Naomi. Like Alice it is classic and not too popular. Also has 3 vowels and 2 consonants! Seems that lots of others think it goes with Alice too! I also liked Jemima.

How about Evie? Evie is what I'd like for my DD2 but DH doesn't like it at all so I'm out of luck

Another one I like is Maisie, very pretty! Unfortunately I'm out of luck with that one too so you are welcome to have those names!! Hehe!!

I was going to write pretty much manic's suggestions :) great minds I do think in particular Alice and Charlotte, Alice and Georgia, Alice and Lydia have a good flow and 'go' together style wise. I would have suggested Harriet If it wasn't already on your list its lovely

Thanks everyone. Some great suggestions here. mammysam I guess we are due close together - I'm on April Fool's Day! peacy - how sweet that you have an Alice May as well. The May was a late addition becuase my DGF passed away a few days before DD1 was born and that was his mother's name. But I really like it! I'm intrigued to know what you went for with your DSs...

The Alice i know has a sister called Amber. My DD2 is Lydia and i wanted Alys as her middle name so i think they go well :)

Hannah- objectively nice but this is my irrational hate name sorry!
Rebecca- lovely and have been considering this also. Under-used
Harriet- Goes very nicely with Alice
Naomi- totally different class of name imo, nice but wrong with Alice
Thea- bit faddy/will date unlike Alice which is more traditional
Kate- Beautiful and simple, like Alice!
Imogen- oK
Matilda- Meh, not special
Iona- dislike, wouldn't know how to pronounce it sorry. Try hard.
