Which spelling do you prefer Sophia or Sofia ?

Pickwick.... Mine gets Fia from family sometimes, it's lovely.

Sophia. The 4yo one I know calls herself Fia. It's a lovely name.

Either is fine, but I think that Sophia will be more commonly assumed in the UK, so if you go with Sofia, she will have to get used to her name being incorrectly spelt, a lot.

DD1 has a name with a few different spelling variations, and she just accepts that her name will be spelt wrongly from time to time. I have an unusual spelling, and people often "correct" it when they see it, which can cause problems (eg, I don't receive some emails, because they've been sent to the wrong address.)

Having said that, I think I like Sofia better.

Sophia

I like both. I think they are both classic. I slightly prefer Sofia but it is a personal thing. The Sofia I know is Spanish but I like it because of Sofia Loren!

Sophia

Either, choose what you prefer, just don't get uptight when people spell it the other way. Grin

I don't like Sofia, it looks like it's misspelled.
