boy shortlist - suggestions welcome.

Hi all, have a boys shortlist on the go, lovely little dark haired boy now 10 days old - scrumptious! He is our second boy and one of 5... we already have: Meg, Bess, Emma and Rafe, so name needs to be a good 'un and also fit with with his siblings.

We don't like too traditional (ie Christopher) or too 'now' (ie Arlo) I like a slightly old fashioned literary feel, dh not so much...

Alexander will be our middle name.

So far we both like:

Joshua Alexander

Laurie Alexander

and slightly off the wall but both drawn to it....

Bruno Alexander

I think Laurie fits best although it isn't really my kind of name iykwim

I really don't like Laurie and think it would be a difficult one for a great many boys to carry.

Bruno is my favourite name ever. I suggest it on every thread and everyone bloody ignores me. Cheek.

Laurie fits best with the siblings, but Bruno Alexander is a good name.

Laurie is my favourite...it's my dad's name and he is very manly and pulls it off eell

Aw, I wanted to add that it is so nice when this sort of thing happens, and the OP actually feels we helped with confirming a name, and us in the peanut gallery feel we helped to make a new person. :)

I think Laurie fits best with your other children's names. But I prefer Joshua, although both are good names. Not so keen on Bruno.
