Picking holes in every name...

Dd2 is due in 3 weeks and we cannot find a name for her! Dd1 is Alice. This was always going to be her name and I love it. I like the following but find niggling little problems with each of them. Opinions or suggestions of other names gratefully received. Need first and middle name.

Anna ( will Frozen make it really popular?
Hannah (DH doesn't like it)
Olivia (too popular?)
Emma ( is it a bit blah?)
Eilidh ( too hard to spell?)
Annabel ( I prefer Anna but DH prefers this)
Elizabeth ( what nickname? Libby? Beth? Eliza?)
Matilda ( a bit "of the moment"?)
Orla (sounds a bit harsh?)
Anya ( same as Orla?)

I like Orla and Matilda best, they were two on our list of potential names for DD (whose middle name is Alice!)

I also had Olive (rather than Olivia) with the plan of using Liv as a nn.

Emily is less popular than Emma but has a similar feel

Loads of Olivias, Hannahs, but all of yr names are pretty

Ooh Think I like Pippa and LOve Kate but that is my sister's name.

I have a Pippa and love it. Surprisingly uncommon for how familiar it is (we've not met a single one her age).

I've always loved Emma. It's not used as much as it used to be. Was a serious contender for dd.

I was also going to suggest olive!

Emily goes very well with Alice (as does Emma but think Emily has the edge for me fwiw).

Love Elizabeth with nn Lizzie.

I really, really, really wanted Eilidh for DD2 but knew she would have to spell it out for evermore (we don't live in Scotland) so sadly had to let it go.

I think Anna is such a beautiful classic. They pronounce it Ar-na on Frozen so don't think the link is bad. Plus everyone seems to prefer Elsa so expect that will be more popular.

I love Orla and don't think it sounds harsh.

Emma is lovely and goes really well with Alice. You could use Emmeline if you think Emma is blah.

Love the nickname Betty for Elizabeth.

And I think you're right about Eilidh Jimmy It's lovely but would create a lifetime of mid-pronunciation.

I have an Alice. Her sister is Eleanor.

Matilda Emma sounds nice.

Anna - It's a classic so I don't think Frozen will make it that popular. As someone else said, I think it's Elsa that will rocket up the charts.
Hannah - Nothing wrong with it, I just find it a bit bland. It does go well with Alice though.
Olivia - I think it has been at the top of the charts for ages but it is very pretty
Emma - I view this as similar to Hannah, in that it's not the most exciting name in the world but it's a classic that will serve your daughter well. I much prefer Emma to Hannah though, I think it's prettier
Eilidh - I'm not sure about this. People seem to cope fine spelling and pronouncing Siobhan and Sinead for the most part so I don't see why Eilidh should be any different. Obviously it's not as well known though so I guess it depends on how much it would annoy you to spell it out all the time. If you've got a difficult to spell/pronounce surname then I'd avoid it. If it's something like Smith, then I might risk it if I really loved it.
Annabel - Lovely. I think this could be a good compromise as you can always call her Anna for short.
Elizabeth - I like Libby the best out of your nicknames
Matilda - It is a bit of the moment whereas Alice is more of a classic but I really like Alice and Matilda together.
Orla - I don't think it sounds harsh, it's lovely.
Anya - Again, it's pretty and I don't think it sounds harsh.

Erin is very nice too.

How about Nina? I loved Anna for my DD but a close friend used it. Nina seemed to fit the bill for us for the same reasons - classic and feminine but also strong. And, possibly unlike Anna which is increasing in popularity, currently underused without being 'unique'.

Alice was on our list. Rest of the list was Jessica, Grace, Bethan, Lucy and Natasha in case this helps!

Elizabeth - nick names - Betty, Betsy, Beth, Lizzie, Elle,

Alice and Betsy would be my choice

or Bess and Alice

Emily is way more popular than Emma Snice, 3rd most popular in 2013 vs 55th.

I love Emma. There may be a lovely reason for that ;)

Alice was second on our list for DD. We also liked Esther and from your list Matilda nn Tilda (I think Tilly is much more common but too frilly for me).

Bell, I was watching Big Bang Theory earlier and suddenly thought that Penny would be nice...
I'm pleased that Emma is getting a good reception. I think it is my new favourite ( it was Anna but DH doesn't really like Anna). I do like Pippa and Penny though and hadn't considered them before. And I think Bess for Elizabeth is lovely but think people might use other nicknames that I'm not keen on. Hmmm...
