Suggestions please!! We're literally drawing a blank. We have two options, neither of which we feel particularly strongly about so I need more suggestions to add to the reject pile! Grin
Possibles are Eamon or Cillian.. Do your worst..

Innes not ones

Hamish is the best I think

Arriettyborrower · 16/10/2014 23:09

I was going to say Heath too, but my favourite and first thought was Dashiell - Dash, Lachie and Dash

Gorgeous!

helensburgh · 16/10/2014 23:10

TunnocksCW · 16/10/2014 23:17

Give your DH choice of
Torran
Callan
Sorley

Done!

MrsMcRuff · 16/10/2014 23:25

Lachlan and Dougal immediately sprang to mind!

Surfsup1 · 17/10/2014 00:23

James (unless you're in Australia where people will make the Murdoch connection)
Cameron
Angus
Alistair
Duncan
Hamish
Robert
Malcom
Charles

I can't choose between Eamon and Cillian. Maybe Cillian would pip Eamon because it has an L sound.

I'll out myself to relatives but my uncle is Lachie. His brothers are Douglas (Doug), Murdo, Fergus (Ferg), Struan and Gregor.

WorrisomeHeart · 17/10/2014 11:06

Thanks everyone, lots of food for thought here (and I won't tell you how many DH has vetoed from your suggestions) Grin
We seem to have added Max or Mac to the shortlist but can't agree on the long version of either except perhaps Cormac with nn Mac.

Ah, dull!

What did your DH think of Struan - vetoed? That's the one most people seem to have suggested, it certainly has very much the same feel at Lachlan.

Murdo is also ace!

WorrisomeHeart · 17/10/2014 13:23

Yep vetoed. Which is a shame as I like Struan and agree it works well with Lachie. I think we've reached a tentative agreement on Cormac.

Cormac is lovely.

Macdara is another option that gives you Mac.

AmITwirly · 17/10/2014 15:42

I would suggest Rory, Cormac or Finbar.

Don't like Cillian. Too similar to "Kill Ian" and it'll probably get shortened to Cill which sounds like Kill.
